Greenbank and Duncan Road.....updated

Looking through my files again I came accrossed some different photos of the store and trolley I posted earlier. These pictures are a little more clear. I really like the delivery truck in the first photo. The bridge wall is a little more visible in the first one also. It gives a better idea where the end of the line was.

Been meaning to write this for a few days, so I'd better do it before I forget. Don't know if you know this, but it looks like the McCullen Store may have started with William McCullen (1862-1907). After his death, his widow Martha (1856-?) ran it. I assume that's probably her in the picture on the left, possibly with her mother-in-law Anna McCullen (1841-?). Just trying to put names with faces.

In 1920, Martha McCullen is still shown as owning a general store. By 1930, she's living at the Masonic Home on Lancaster Pike. I guess her husband must have been a Mason. He's buried at the old St. Barnabas Church on Newport Rd, but I haven't found a death date for Martha. I assume it was probably in the 30's. I love these old pictures. There's always something new to learn from them.

Thanks for your input Scott. You always add something. You seem to pull info from somewhere. I am going to have go over to St. Barnabas and look up William. Poor William appears to have been only 45 when he passed.
