Cool picture, as always. I'd love to know who some of the other men are in the picture. I'm not sure about the First, but I know the Fourth DE had many locals in it. Probably a good guess that if they're meeting in Marshallton, that most are local men.

My wife's 2nd g-grandfather, Thomas Wright 1837-1893 served in Company B, 4th DE Infantry. A shoemaker by trade, he was originally from Chester County but raised his family in Stanton. The record indicates that he joined at Camp Brandywine Springs, deserted 2 weeks later, but returned. Apparently all was forgiven because he mustered out in 1865 as a corporal. He is interred at St. James Church in Stanton with a government issued headstone and flag holder. KC.

Did your wife's G. Grandfather have a shoe making shop in Stanton?....If he did would you know the aprox. location?
