I am not expert on postcards but I believe they stopped making undivided back postcards around 1907.

Another great old picture. Do you know exactly where this was? Was it on Greenbank with its back to the creek, facing the brick building (party rental place)? Or was it on Duncan facing down towards the mill? And what's the large building behind it? I love these old pictures.
It was on the corner of Duncan and Greenbank, facing the creek. On the opposite corner from the "party rental place". The lot is empty now. I have a better photo of the store buried somewhere on my computer but just couldnt find it. The difference between this one and the other is, this one doesnt show electric where the other one does. I have not figured out the building behind it, but looks like a barn. In a photo of the old Colored school in Marshallton you can see the roof of this building. I am now going to post another photo that you might like and gives a better idea where the store sat.
Thanks for the follow-up. I think I figured out what the structure in the background is -- the Bringhurst House. And you're right, you can see it in the back of the Colored School photo. If you don't have a copy of it, the UD postcard site has the Bringhurst House.
I have photo of the Bringhurst House and it appears to have a different roof line. I also believe his house was more up Greenbank Road across from the mill. I could be wrong but I have to find another photo I have buried somewhere.
Do you have any photos of the area of Duncan road near the 7-11 and panera bread? Possibly any of the row of houses across the street from the village aprtmnts
I am sorry to say I do not have any photos of the area's you are talking about. It would be interesting to see the area before it became developed. I also do not have any photos of the workers homes before demolition. I am thinking they were on both sides of Duncan Road. If you have or have access to any pictures of these areas I would sure like to see them.
