I love that picture. Do you know exactly where it is/was? It's not still there and white now, is it? If not, then the building across from Big D's is exactly the same design.
I looked quickly at census info, and found William J. Copes, 22, grocer, in 1910. He and brother Marshall (worked at fibre mill) lived with mother Sarah and step-father William Temple. Couldn't find WJC in 1920, but 1930 he's still in Marshallton. Can't make out occupation, but worked for a bakery. Also lived 2 houses down from Bill Simpson, I think, if you know him. Thanks for posting the pic!
Yes you are right it is the white building accross from Big D's Pizza. I also believe it is Mr. Wiseman's grandfather. Actually he is the one that let me scan the photo a couple years ago. One day I will have to take a photo of the building now and edit this post. What census info did you get the info from? Thanks for your input..
